I know it’s hard to find decent but reasonable Japanese tools in the USA so I got some extra tools in Japan in case someone may need them. They are all new old tools.
Please understand, since this isn’t business and I bought them from my pocket money, it’s only 3 items and I also put a small markup for bringing them back and shipping supply. I try to make them as reasonable as possible.
Please note that wooden base has a chance that moves or cracks due to climate/humidity change.
KOSHIFUJI Kiwa Kanna(Rabbet Plane) 30mm Right/Left Set

The blade is known to be forged by the black smith Mr. Komori, and the dai(wooden base) is made by Fuji mokko. I personally own a 24mm Komori-made Kiwa kanna(SK steel) and it cuts hardwood well. The dai of Koshifuji is also well made so this is a solid set.
- Iron: SK steel 30mm (1.18″)
- Base: 151mm x 47mm x 24mm (5.94″ x 1.85″x0.94″)

No Name Kiwa Kanna(Rabbet Plane) 30mm Right/Left Set

There is no name stamped on either the blade or the dai(the wooden base). I don’t know who made the dai and to be honest, the dai is a bit rough comparing to the named one. However, according to Sagami Daiku Dogukan, the blade itself is definitely made by Mr. Komori and is blue steel..
Because there’s no name on it, this is more of a tool meant to be used than collected which is what tools are for anyway. At this price, I think it would be very hard to find comparable set in the US.
- Iron: Blue steel 30mm (1.18″) – has a little bit of rust
- Base: 156mm x 48mm x 25mm (6.14″ x 1.89″x0.98″)
